About the Role: WSM Technician

As part of Maersks IT Transformation we are centralizing the management of IT activities to deliver consistent high-quality services across regions. To ensure each region has focused IT support weve established lean empowered Account Management teams. TheWSM Technicianrole is a key member of these teams responsible for delivering hands-on IT support to business customers and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

You will be the on-the-ground expert for IT hardware and infrastructure bridging the gap between global IT services and local business needs.

In This Role You Will:

  • Provideon-site IT supportfor incidents and tasks that cannot be resolved remotely including desktops laptops printers servers and switches.
  • ManageIT asset tracking and auditingfor hardware and software not connected to the network following global processes.
  • Troubleshoot and supportserver housing and LAN cablingto maintain operational continuity.
  • Collaborate withFacilities Managementduring office moves ensuring seamless IT setup and relocation.
  • Be available foron-call emergency supportduring critical incidents outside regular hours.
  • Work closely with theGlobal Service Desk (GSC)to resolve user requests and incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate withvendorsfor hardware repairs upgrades and servicing.
  • Support IT transformation initiatives ensuring smooth service delivery during structural changes.
  • Deliverexceptional customer service ensuring adherence to Maersks IT standards and processes.

What You Bring:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS (XP and newer).
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for PCs laptops printers and peripherals.
    • Basic server and network troubleshooting experience.
    • Familiarity with Active Directory file/print services and MS Office applications.
  • Problem-Solving:Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues efficiently.
  • Business Awareness:Understanding of ITs role in business continuity and customer satisfaction.
  • Process & Risk Management:Comfortable following change management protocols and risk procedures.
  • Performance Orientation:
    • Commitment to resolving tickets within SLAs.
    • Focus on minimizing downtime and escalations.
