Job Summary:
At HUB24 were on a journey to empower better financial futures and were looking for a Data Solution Architect who brings a blend of deep technical expertise collaborative energy and a strategic this role you will take ownership of the architectural blueprint for HUB24s data ecosystem and lead the design of purposeful scalable and secure data solutions.Youll partner closely with product teams Data Analysts Data Engineer and business stakeholders to ensure our solutions are not only technically sound but also aligned with business priorities. With your guidance well ensure our data platform investments translate into real-world impact driving smarter client-focused outcomes.
This is a leadership role with a focus on collaboration mentoring and creating an inclusive high-performing engineering cultureone where everyone is empowered to contribute and grow.
Responsibilities:
Design and own the end-to-end architecture of HUB24s data ecosystem ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Deliver high-quality fit-for-purpose and commercially aware data solutions using modern technologies and scalable design practices.
Ensure all solutions meet security governance and quality standards.
Drive timely and budget-conscious delivery of capabilities in a fast-paced agile environment.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and co-create actionable value-driven solutions.
Act as a bridge between business and technical teams ensuring transparency alignment and shared understanding.
Contribute to design standards technical documentation and training materials.
Mentor and guide data engineers integration engineers and analytics engineers (both local and offshore) fostering a culture of support inclusion and innovation.
Encourage continuous learning providing feedback and development plans that help team members thrive.
Contribute to building a collaborative team culture where diverse perspectives are valued.
Promote modern development practices with a systematic agile approach.
Ensure technical documentation is accurate clear and accessible.
Drive ongoing platform optimization and automation strategies.
Maintain accountability through timely timesheet completion and documentation.
Ensure all data solutions are designed with the client in mindintuitive reliable and impactful.
Deliver projects that are prioritised and aligned with real client needs and future opportunities.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
5 years of experience as a Senior Solution Designer or Solution Architect specifically within the data domain.
Demonstrated experience leading the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade data solutions.
Proficiency in modern data platforms and tools: Python Databricks DBT Fivetran GCP
Strong experience in data architecture data modelling (logical & physical) and platform design.
Familiarity with source control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Agile methodologies and automated testing practices.
Understanding of data governance security and quality standards.
Proven ability to design secure scalable and maintainable data solutions.
A collaborative team player who uplifts others and values diverse perspectives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to listen align and influence across technical and non-technical teams.
Passion for mentoring and empowering others through knowledge sharing and support.
Curious and innovative mindset with a can-do approach to problem-solving.
