Job Description

A day in the life of a ISEP Community Engagement Officer can include:

  • Develop implement and manage the ISEPs marketing and engagement plan
  • Manage ISEPs engagement methods and stakeholder relationships
  • Enhance and improve the ISEPs marketing strategies and operations
  • Assist the ISEP Team with increasing the positive association with ISEPs among relevant key representatives
  • Work in collaboration with the ISEP Team to explore relevant potential opportunities
  • Assistance in the day-to-day operations of ISEP through staff and management enquiries
  • Support ISEP regarding audits and stakeholder visitations
  • Attend networking opportunities
  • Support Digital campaigns organised local events and meetings
  • Educate and grow awareness of ISEP programs
  • Maintaining the Cultural ethic of the company by respecting Elders and community protocol
  • Prepare weekly report of activities and outcomes for management
  • Attend networking opportunities

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in administration and establishing supportive youth relationships
  • Knowledge of the local community
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an outcome-based environment toward results
  • Administration skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Well-developed computer skills
  • Understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and the issues they face
  • Ability to comply with AKGs code of conduct company policies and procedures and uphold the organisations values in all interactions
  • Well-developed problem-solving and time management skills

Please note this role will have travel within Cairns and surrounding communities.

To be considered you must

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current drivers licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete anAustralia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
