Whats the role
The Senior Manager Payments Strategy plays a key role in Westpacs Commercial and Product Profitability squad driving strategic initiatives across mobile wallets digital cards and emerging technologies. This role is central to shaping the future of consumer payments with a focus on innovation fraud mitigation and seamless customer experiences. Youll lead the strategic direction of our payments portfolio and leverage deep expertise in the payments ecosystemincluding regulatory frameworks fraud trends and market dynamicsto position Westpac as a leader in the Australian payments landscape. Youll also influence strategy manage commercial partnerships and ensure secure competitive customer-centric offerings.
What do I need
- Experience in financial services/telco etc with a strong focus on cards payments and mobile payment technologies.
- Proven track record in payments strategy product development and commercial negotiation.
- Deep understanding of the Australian payments ecosystem including regulatory bodies scheme rules and fraud trends.
- Experience with Agile LEAN and transformation methodologies.
- Strong analytical communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for innovation and emerging payment technologies.
