The Director of Emergency Medicine provides strategic clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe high-quality patient-centred emergency care.
Working closely with executive leadership you will lead a dedicated multidisciplinary team strengthen clinical capability and support the ongoing development of emergency medicine services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality evidence-based care
- Overseeing clinical governance quality safety and risk management
- Managing workforce planning recruitment rostering and performance of medical staff
- Driving service improvement innovation and patient-flow optimisation
- Building strong partnerships with internal teams regional services and external stakeholders
- Supporting education training and professional development across the department
We are seeking a collaborative motivated and visionary Emergency Medicine leader.
You will have:
- MBBS or equivalent with full AHPRA registration
- Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent
- Extensive experience in Emergency Medicine including leadership within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to lead change improve systems and achieve operational outcomes
- A commitment to patient-centred care quality improvement and clinical excellence
