The Role
Were looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Group Analytics team. This is a hands-on high-impact role where youll lead data initiatives across Gaming Food & Beverage Hotels Conferences and Customer departments spanning our Melbourne Sydney and Perth properties.
Working within the Google Cloud Platform youll design and execute data strategies build scalable models and deliver real-time insights that drive smarter decision-making. Youll play a key role in bridging business needs with technical capabilities ensuring our data products deliver ongoing value.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and consult with business units and IT teams to identify challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Design and implement data and analytics models that support insights operations and activation.
- Develop and deploy advanced data science models for forecasting prediction and alerting.
- Supporting strategic initiatives across other business areas
- Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous testing validation and continuous improvement.
- Help build analytics maturity across the organisation spanning data technology people and processes.
About You
Youre a technically skilled and commercially minded analytics professional who thrives in a fast-paced data-rich environment. You enjoy solving complex problems building scalable solutions and influencing outcomes through data.
Youll bring:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL Python and data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms and big data technologies (e.g. GCP a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Business Analytics Computer Science Statistics or a related field.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills with the ability to present insights clearly
