SEND Senior Data & Performance Officer

Full-time 36.5 hours per week (hybrid working typically 1-2 days a week and be able to attend key meetings across Birmingham in person when required)

About the Role
Birminghams SEND services are growing as part of the councils long-term commitment to children young people and their families with more than 150 permanent roles being created. Were putting evidence and a data driven approach at the heart of SEND improvement to make sure we can identify and respond to Children and Young Peoples needs effectively. Were looking for motivated people who combine a passion for SEND with proven analytical skills and experience to join us and make a meaningful impact in this priority area.
Youll be joining a newly established SEND Evidence and Analysis team providing support evidence and analysis to a range of operational corporate statutory and strategic users. The team will be responsible for the availability accuracy assurance and analysis of a range of SEND data (characteristics needs services outcomes) to provide impactful insights to SEND service providers and users.
About You
Using your experience of data management and quality assurance you will ensure that improvements to SEND services are based on timely and trusted information. With your experience of interpreting data to inform actions and your strong presentation skills you will provide timely and tailored evidence to a range of users to inform good practice and improve service performance and outcomes With your skills and experience in using various IT applications and knowledge of relevant legalisation you will ensure that all SEND data from collection through to storage to analysis is managed and used safely and effectively. Using your skills in communication and engagement you will support motivate and challenge colleagues and teams to ensure services are evidence-based and delivering effectively. With your experience managing teams you will support the team to establish and meet realistic user focused and impactful outcomes that improve services for Children and Young People.
