Job Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management operation and improvement of Copelands Sidney OH facilities at the site level. This role ensures that buildings utilities and infrastructure operate safely efficiently and in alignment with business needs. The Facilities Manager leads facility operations coordinates capital and maintenance projects and drives sustainability and efficiency addition this position provides direct leadership to the Facilities Coordinator and Maintenance Technician(s) to ensure effective execution of day-to-day facility support. The Sidney Facilities Manager reports to Global Facilities and serves as the primary point of accountability for site facility performance.

As a Facilities Manager You Will:

Facility Operations & Maintenance

  • Oversee daily operation maintenance and repair of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing life safety and utilities.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.

  • Develop preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

  • Conduct routine facility inspections to proactively identify risks deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage and mentor the Facilities Coordinator and Maintenance Technician(s) providing direction prioritization and performance feedback.

Project Leadership

  • Lead site-level facility projects such as space reconfigurations utility upgrades and equipment installations.

  • Partner with manufacturing engineering and operations to ensure facility improvements support production warehousing engineering and office requirements.

  • Coordinate contractor and vendor activities ensuring work is performed safely on time and to specification.

  • Support enterprise-level facility initiatives acting as the site lead during global programs and rollouts.

Sustainability & Efficiency

  • Identify and implement site-specific initiatives that improve energy efficiency and reduce utility consumption.

  • Contribute to Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reduction programs by applying corporate best practices locally.

  • Partner with the enterprise sustainability team to standardize facility efficiency improvements.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage facility operating budgets monitor expenditures and recommend cost-saving measures.

  • Prepare and support capital expenditure requests for facility upgrades and infrastructure projects.

  • Manage vendor relationships including sourcing contract negotiation and performance oversight.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in facilities management engineering construction management or related field.

  • 10 years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems utilities and maintenance practices.

  • Proven experience managing contractors vendors and small teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Project Word).

  • Strong organizational communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 5-10% as needed.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship not available).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 15 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.

  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS).

  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other facility planning tools.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) Project Management Professional (PMP) or OSHA Safety Certification.

Onsite Work Arrangement:

This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. Core scheduled is Monday - Friday with flexibility to support evening or weekend work as required by facility needs.
