Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure the efficient operation and profitability of properties within a portfolio under the direction of the SVP.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with others including residents co-workers and supervisors.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness.
  • Operate the portfolio within the financial guidelines established by the SVP and Owner.
  • Travel overnight as required to meet the needs of the portfolio.
  • Conduct quarterly physical inspections of the properties within the portfolio.
  • Directly supervise the Property Managers within the portfolio.
  • Finalizing the hiring of all property employees within the portfolio.
  • Ensure a professional appearance and attitude at all times for yourself and all property employees.
  • Thoroughly know implement and enforce all policies and procedures of Summit.
  • Supervise and ensure that all leasing personnel use effective and professional sales techniques.
  • Ensure timely efficient and courteous responses to resident requests or complaints.
  • Generate various reports including company-required reports and HUD information.
  • Implement design and maintain a resident retention program such as newsletters or social activities.
  • Ensure all personnel operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Report any unusual circumstances regarding residents or properties.
  • Seek educational opportunities and self-improvement for personal growth and development.

Experience you will need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Tax Credit and/or HUD operational certifications are highly recommended.
