Key Responsibilities
As the Project Manager Team Lead you will oversee project quotations and lead coordination efforts between internal teams suppliers and clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Project Planning & Bid Strategy:
- Identify and qualify potential bid opportunities; assemble comprehensive material requirement lists including lighting switchgear and related components.
- Collaborate with engineering consultants to confirm project scope and secure approvals for bid submission.
- Supplier & Client Management:
- Engage with suppliers to clarify specifications confirm bill of materials and negotiate optimal pricing.
- Provide leadership in vendor and customer negotiations ensuring alignment on costs timelines and deliverables.
- Quotation Development & Team Oversight:
- Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive project quotations.
- Coordinate efforts across internal sales account management and operations teams to ensure quote integrity and readiness for order processing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Follow-Up:
- Track and follow up on outstanding bids determining status and potential next steps.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify upselling opportunities within current accounts and enhance customer relationships.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management estimating or sales support ideally within an industrial or construction-related environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex bids and lead cross-functional teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills for quoting and pricing.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
- Key Competencies:
- Excellent leadership negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
