Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager Team Lead you will oversee project quotations and lead coordination efforts between internal teams suppliers and clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning & Bid Strategy:
    • Identify and qualify potential bid opportunities; assemble comprehensive material requirement lists including lighting switchgear and related components.
    • Collaborate with engineering consultants to confirm project scope and secure approvals for bid submission.
  • Supplier & Client Management:
    • Engage with suppliers to clarify specifications confirm bill of materials and negotiate optimal pricing.
    • Provide leadership in vendor and customer negotiations ensuring alignment on costs timelines and deliverables.
  • Quotation Development & Team Oversight:
    • Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive project quotations.
    • Coordinate efforts across internal sales account management and operations teams to ensure quote integrity and readiness for order processing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Follow-Up:
    • Track and follow up on outstanding bids determining status and potential next steps.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to identify upselling opportunities within current accounts and enhance customer relationships.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma required; bachelors degree preferred.
    • At least 5 years of experience in project management estimating or sales support ideally within an industrial or construction-related environment.
    • Proven ability to manage complex bids and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical specifications.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills for quoting and pricing.
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and relevant industry software.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Excellent leadership negotiation and communication skills.
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
