DescriptionNew graduate registered nurses or nurses transitioning to a different level of care can immerse themselves in their new career as a Nurse Resident.
As a Nurse Resident you will work with a preceptor and educator as you progress to full independent practice.
You will plan implement and evaluate nursing care based on the patient care plan and keep a safe clean and therapeutic environment in accordance with the plan.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of human experience in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Participates in planning implementing and evaluating nursing care based on defined patient care plan patient care policies and standards of care and knowledge of the Nursing Process.
- Maintains a safe comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with care deliver standards.
- Provides safe patient care per facility/department RN job description within the achieved competencies of the residency. Seeks clarification prior to performing skills if uncertain.
- Participates in learning activities provided.
- Seek to understand the theory supporting learning activities.

- Registered Nurse license in the state where work is performed
- CPR training
