What Youll Do
As the Financial Controller youll be the financial backbone of the companyleading accounting operations ensuring compliance and delivering insights that drive smart decisions. Youll work closely with the CEO and executive team to guide financial strategy and optimize systems for scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Financial Operations:
- Direct daily accounting activities across the organization
- Ensure timely and accurate recording filing and reporting of financial transactions
- Manage systems for cash flow accounts payable/receivable and credit control
Reporting & Strategic Analysis
- Collaborate with leadership to produce actionable financial reports
- Prepare monthly P&L statements balance sheets cash flow reports and project margin analyses
- Consolidate financials across international subsidiaries
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic decisions and long-term performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards
- Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors
Reconciliations & Audit Readiness
- Perform regular account reconciliations and maintain ledger accuracy
- Prepare and file tax returns support audit processes
Financial Strategy & Systems Optimization
- Evaluate financial performance against long-term goals and budgets
- Identify and implement automation tools and accounting systems
Ensure Compliance:
- Manage audits Federal and state-wide sales tax filings and compliance and ensure adherence to GAAP
Lead & Develop Team:
- Supervise staff of accounting professionals lead mentor and train staff foster a culture of growth and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in accounting (Masters or CPA preferred)
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in Microsoft Great Plains or other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting and revenue recognition
- Experience with inventory deferred revenue and multi-entity accounting practices
- Exceptional analytical communication and leadership skills
