Job Title: VP Lending
Reports To: Chief Lending Officer

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for leading the end-to-end borrower journey for LendingPoints personal loan business managing the funnel from lead through funding to ensure a seamless high-converting experience that drives measurable revenue impact. This role focuses on designing and optimizing the funnel to maximize funded loan volume reduce friction and strengthen customer trustdirectly fueling LendingPoints top-line growth and bottom-line performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Full funnel ownership: Lead the borrower journey after lead acquisition from application through verification decisioning signing and funding.
- Revenue impact: Translate funnel improvements into measurable growth in funded loan volume net revenue and contribution margin.
- Conversion optimization: Identify drop-offs and friction points implement solutions to improve conversion rates and increase the percentage of leads that turn into funded loans.
- Verification strategy: Own the roadmap for identity income employment bank account and fraud verification ensuring fast accurate and compliant processes that balance growth with risk.
- Cross-functional leadership: Partner with risk engineering design operations compliance and marketing to deliver funnel initiatives that scale efficiently and enhance profitability.
- Fraud and risk management: Collaborate with risk teams to integrate scoring models business rules and vendor tools that protect the business while optimizing revenue throughput.
- Vendor oversight: Evaluate negotiate and manage third-party partners (e.g. Plaid Socure Equifax Argyle) to maximize ROI and ensure vendor performance aligns with revenue goals.
- Data-driven optimization: Define monitor and report on funnel KPIs (conversion rate funded loan growth revenue per lead auto-fund rate) with accountability for P&L outcomes.
- Testing and iteration: Lead experimentation and A/B testing to improve funnel economics and ensure initiatives are delivering incremental revenue impact.
- Executive leadership: Present funnel performance growth strategy and financial impact to senior leadership and the board directly influencing revenue targets and company direction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration or related field; preferred
- 810 years of product management growth or P&L ownership experience with at least 35 years in fintech lending or consumer finance.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth by owning and optimizing funnels (application through funding).
- Deep expertise in verification workflows (KYC fraud income identity document processing) and their impact on conversion and revenue.
- Strong experience with third-party vendors APIs fraud tools and risk models.
- Highly analytical and financially fluent; able to connect funnel improvements to revenue contribution margin and overall P&L performance.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar data tools required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams drive accountability and influence executive decision-making.
- Excellent executive presence and communication skills capable of aligning leadership around funnel-driven revenue strategy.
- Experience managing and scaling product or growth teams strongly preferred.
