About the Role


The successful applicant will be the professional lead for high quality volunteering across our Heritage Library Collections and Learning services. The remit underpins the work of over 1000 volunteers in over 100 roles supported by up to 30 staff. The position sits in the Cultural Participation team who deliver unique community engagement projects with targeted communities across Leicestershire. The successful applicant will also support the programme of work for this team.

About You

To apply for this post you must have experience in:

  • Developing managing and sharing policies and procedures which meet local and national volunteering best practice.
  • Experience of initiating developing and managing bespoke volunteering projects which meet the needs of targeted communities the strategic objectives of the service and the commitments of our Arts Council NPO.
  • Collaboration and co-creation with a range of organisations and groups in order to develop a broad range of partnerships that will enhance the overall volunteering offer
  • Supporting managing advising and training volunteer leaders including overseeing volunteer opportunity development.
  • Leading on recruitment marketing and promotion campaigns
  • Co-ordinating the evaluation of volunteering activity and leading on evaluation methodology system procurement and management of internal partnerships around data analysis.
  • Budget management including procuring appropriate resources advising on external funding opportunities managing freelance opportunities and personnel and co-ordinating service-wide need.
