Job Summary
As Engineering Manager your role is to coordinate people resources and priorities to support a 24/7 Production Environment. Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of Engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Matching skills to tasks and developing a multiskilled flexible team that proactively addresses issues and creates innovative ways to improve reliability.
- Implementing and maintaining robust engineering processes and standards to ensure operational excellence.
- Overseeing the planning execution and delivery of engineering projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and optimise production processes.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and providing mentorship to team members supporting their professional growth and development.
- Analysing production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health safety and environmental regulations modelling safe working practices at all times.
- Managing departmental budgets effectively including resource allocation and cost control measures.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation within the engineering team.
- Participating in the Plant Manager team contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term planning for the facility.
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering department.
- Liaising with suppliers contractors and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
