About the role
Support Penfolds sales team to drive On Premise distribution and exposure. Assist in conduct wine events/trainings for hotel and F&B outlets and provide immersive experience to consumers. Build Penfolds brand to be a luxury icons in On Premise channel and develop Penfolds portfolio to fit different opportunities.
Develop and execute sustainable growth plans with customers in line with Penfolds strategy delivering profitable and continued sales growth on or above target
Building the visibility and availability of Penfolds across key accounts such as Hotels Private clubs and F&B outlets
Drive distribution through trade programs and visit secure listing opportunities or volume driven programs
Establish strong relationships with customer including sommeliers and decision maker
Contribute to accurate forecasting of volume and investment provide clear insights into customer performance to guide business decisions / enable corrective actions
Ensure regular contact with customers rapid resolution of issues and facilitate multiple points of contact from senior level management to administrative functions. High level of detail follow up accountability and professionalism in alignment with the expectations of representing an iconic brand. Be an articulate and passionate advocate for our wines and brand activity
Support the events team with trade events. Organisation and execution of brand events trainings and tasting events based on brand and sales requirements.
Take responsibility for clear communication and the avoidance of internal silos
Work with sales team/Business Manager to deliver goals and company objectives
About you
Degree/Diploma in Business or Commerce preferred
Formal wine training (WSET) preferred Level 2 or above
Minimum 3 years in sales role in Wine / Alcohol / FMCG with demonstrated sales & negotiation experience
Demonstrated commercial acuity strong strategic business focus and experience managing distributors and new business development
Demonstrated experience of delivering on customer needs whilst operating within your companys strategy
Experience managing and working in conjunction with wholesalers
Strong strategic planning skills to achieve to achieve targeted results
Exceptional influencing skills and experience in dealing with a demanding customer base
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Exceptionally acute negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workload
Ability to understand embrace and capitalise on change and lead others through change
Strong communication and influencing skills
On Premise food & beverage experience (luxury hospitality experience preferred)
