Job Summary

As an Outside Sales/Account Manager you will be selling woodworking machinery to clients across the territory of Northwestern Ontario. You will primarily be selling to purchasing departments & senior management. This role supports an established territory while growing the business through cold & warm outreach. You will be reporting to the regional sales manager. The position provides a base salary commissions car allowance and other perks!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Base Salary: $47000
  • First Year Guaranteed Commission: $35000 advance commissionguaranteed in the first yearon top of the base salary

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Headquartered in Schopfloch Germany
  • Regional Head Office - Mississauga Ontario
  • Working on the road/remote - Outside sales role
  • The sales territory coversNorthwestern Ontario primarily from Guelph to Windsor with occasional travel (once or twice a year) to northern regions such as Thunder Bay Sudbury and Timmins.

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of outside sales experience
  • Experience selling woodworking machinery
  • Experience selling CNC equipment/machinery
  • Experience selling woodworking tooling or material suppliers.
  • Candidates with a service engineer or technician background in woodworking machinery will be considered even without sales experience.
  • Post-secondary degree

  • CRM - Basic

PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S):

  • Manufacturers of wood products
  • SMB mid-market enterprise-sized organizations located across Ontario
  • You will be selling to purchasing departments and senior management

SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:

  • The average project size is $50000 to upwards of $
  • The average length of the sales cycle is 6 - 9 months

LEADS:

  • Existing customers in the database to get in touch with and drive new business

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

  • Occasional overnight travel (trade shows training occasional client visits)

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

  • Job Shadowing
  • Mentoring
  • Classroom
  • 3 - 4 weeks of sales training
  • 1 - 2 months of technical training
  • Within 3-4 weeks you will be selling to customers
