As a Temporary Mail Clerk you would assist in facilitating the election process by using the mail-opening machinery to ensure all mail is opened moved and processed.

We Require
This position requires a high school diploma or GED.
Other Requirements
- Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
- Must pass an applicable background screening
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary

- One or more years of warehouse experience
- One or more years of moderate computer use experience
- One or more years of election experience
- One or more years of customer service experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Contributions
- Utilizes electronic mail opening machinery to open ballots in bulk prior to ballot processing
- Stands for a long period while utilizing electronic mail opening machinery to open ballots in bulk prior to ballot processing
- Pushes and pulls 150-pound ballot crates into the ballot processing staging area or secured ballot vault
- Assists other divisions of Elections with their daily functions and activities along with other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- Full-time/Temporary/Overtime / Holiday hours are mandatory during the election cycle
- Requires the ability to stand for extended periods
- Requires upper extremity repetitive motion and pivoting a minimum of 7 pounds
- Requires the ability to review small fonts on hard copy or computer screen
- Must be able to lift floor-to-shoulder and shoulder-to-waist a minimum of 7 pounds and carry for 450 feet
- Requires the ability to push/pull a minimum of 150 pounds for 450 feet
- May be required to work outdoors in high temperatures
- Must not engage in any political discussion
