Job Summary

The Brakes Engineer is responsible for delivery of variable brake systems and components. Responsibilities include the design and package of components overall system performance cost weight timing and quality.
Experience with Catia
The engineer leads component and system design and development validating and signing off all key brake performance and attribute requirements.
Running vehicle tests and bench tests for specific functions.
Working with brake development engineers for refining functional characteristics of the brake components system features and the vehicle.
The engineer manages supplier delivery and performance.
Serve as a leader and representative of brake engineering to interfacing organizations
Investigate cost opportunities for current production subsystems. Find efficiencies and/or complexity reductions in the design such that cost is saved at the vehicle level. Help deliver the brake department TVM objective for the calendar year.
