Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to provide content development for state initiatives projects and other ESC projects. This position works with the team lead and other content team members in the development of content for project stakeholders

Education/Certification:
Bachelors Degree
Masters Degree preferred
Doctorate Degree preferred
HB3 Reading Academies preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Depth of knowledge in:
Texas Reading Academies
o Literacy and language development
o Science of teaching reading
TEKS ELPS and Pre-K Guidelines
Lesson Planning & Curriculum Design
Second language acquisition and second language literacy preferred
Communicates effectively creatively and professionally
Exhibits flexibility and adaptability
Displays initiative curiosity and innovation
Understands adult learning theory
Possesses a growth mindset and supports that in others
Is dedicated to improvement through collaboration
Experience:
5 years as a K-12 classroom teacher
Campus or District Instructional Coach or Administrator preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Writes clear well-structured text for publication
Embeds literacy-rich (speaking reading writing) practices in all learning experiences
Demonstrates sensitivity to adult learning needs
Ensure all-around consistency (style fonts images tone etc.)
Models the use of high-impact instructional strategies
Demonstrates understanding of effective facilitation planning and delivery
Emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving
Differentiates instruction to ensure the success of all learners on multiple scales
Incorporates the use of formative and summative assessments
Actively seeks ways to enhance the customer experience
Supports state agencies in developing content modules for the Texas Reading Academies and other related programs.

Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Prolonged use of computer. The work and deliverables will drive the work hours.
Environmental: This job is an entirely remote position. The work and deliverables will drive the amount of work.
This position is temporary irregular part time. Hours are based on need.
