Early Childhood Teacher Term 1 2026 Commencement
Roles Available:
Dill-be-din Kindergarten (Fitzroy) - 0.6 FTE - 22.8 hrs/week - sessional kindergarten
Princes Hill Kindergarten -0.6 FTE - 22.8 hrs/week - sessional kindergarten
Yallabirrang (Collingwood) -0.6 FTE - 22.8 hrs/week - sessional kindergarten
Connie Benn Early Learning Centre (Fitzroy) - 1.0 FTE - 38hrs/week - Integrated Kindergarten ($9000 location incentive may be applicablefrom Department of Education)
Salary - VECTEA/EEEEA equivalent pro rata Super (Salary level dependant on qualification teacher level and years of service)

Being successfully appointed as an Early Childhood Teacher at Yarra means that you will be able to enjoy VECTEA equivalent employment conditions.
Including:
- Pay rates aligned with years of experience and validation level
- Paid leave over term breaks
- 12.5 hours non-contact time each week (Full time - pro-rata)
- 25 hours maximum of face-to-face teaching time (Full time -pro-rata)

Required qualifications and attributes:
- Bachelor of Education (Early Years) (or equivalent)
- Up to date First Aid CPR EpiPen and asthma management qualifications
- Valid Early Childhood Teacher VIT Registration and ability to renew
- Team focussed approach
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate responsive routines and programs guided by the approved learning frameworks
- Current mandatory reporting training
- You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job
Desired attributes and experience:
- At least 3 years experience working in an education and care program.
- An understanding of the importance of Indigenous perspectives education
- Bush Kinder (or other nature pedagogy) experience
- Experience with Xplor or other online learning platform
- Ability to demonstrate a competent level of English both written and spoken
