Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the provisioning maintaining and enhancing our Linux-based storage appliances. As we scale from hundreds to thousands of deployments your expertise will ensure the robustness and efficiency of our software systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provisioning and Installation Support: Efficiently provision new Linux storage servers and provide comprehensive installation support to on-site installers.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues in deployed machines ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Hardware Management: Handle RMA processes for defective units refurbish returned devices for redeployment and perform basic computer repairs including component replacement.
- Software Management and Upgrades: Maintain update and improve the software running on the appliances execute regular updates across the network and manage a CentOS7 upgrade path.
Qualifications:
- Profound familiarity with CentOS7 and Linux environments.
- Proven experience in deploying Linux appliances at scale.
- Extensive knowledge of networking principles and configurations.
- Skill in managing RAID arrays and understanding of computer hardware.
- Experience with Bash scripting and Ansible for script execution across multiple devices.
- Familiarity with TPM 2.0 deployments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Linux networking or systems management.
