Overall Objective:
The Well Analyst is under the supervision of the Optimization Foreman and is responsible for well optimization variance detection oil & water loads logistics for an assigned area in an asset. Monitor and maintain alarms to efficiently respond and initiate correction/actions.
Maintain compliance for all relevant Crescent procedures and policies.
Key Relationships:
Responsibilities:
Optimizing artificial lift wells including gas lift GAPL Plunger Lift and rod pumps.
Complete daily morning variance and effectively communicate issues in the field during morning meetings and throughout the day.
Identify wells that need to be swabbed create work tickets for the wells and coordinate the work needed with production team. Possibly fill out template and send to over engineer for approval.
Identify wells that need slickline work done. Work with engineers when necessary to create a job specific procedure then generate the work ticket.
Identify issues throughout the field that require a call out from the Chemical Automation and I&E departments. Generate work tickets associated with the specific issue.
Quarterback production team with ongoing GAPL conversions ensure gas lift rates are adjusted accordingly to try to minimize or eliminate compression cost
Assist operations if needed by generating work tickets for the Construction department for repairs or new construction regarding artificial lift. Currently being done by SR leads.
Verify tasks requested through tickets that have been completed by closing out the ticket.
Monitor wells for Frac Interference.
Monitor and manage the Cygnet alarm system and make notifications when necessary.
Maintain and ensure accuracy and data integrity in Cygnet.
Identify and analyze volume discrepancies troubleshoot problems and make corrections as needed (Cygnet/P2).
Work closely with field personnel to endure timely and proper transmission of production data thorough P2.
Research and compile production data for engineers and others as requested.
Utilize analytical dashboards through Spotfire Power Bi Carte.
Review well test entered by operators for accuracy.
Participate in Operational Well Reviews provide input interact with production team for operation strategies.
Assist Optimization team with wells that have been flagged with known issues by quarterbacking troubleshooting process. Meaning if one thing fails we are looking for the next fix not just leave on the back burner.
Highlight and generate 3-5 wells per week needing echo-meter analysis and optimization by the optimization team.
Receive phone calls from the field to assist in the dispatch of vacuum and oil trucks.
Work with chemical using the Helios app to cut cost and effectively and efficiently inject methanol to prevent hydrates during winter. As well as track hydrates to help in the process of RTPing the well from a hydrate and mitigate it from hydrating again.
Assist in implementation and succession of plunger optimization at the field level.
Track all work that is done with all departments through ticket system and create notations in Cygnet. Determine anomalies to reduce LOE and increase production within our group to also improve the work of flow.
Education Requirements:
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED
Certifications (optional but beneficial):
H2S Safety Training
Well Control Certification (e.g. IADC or IWCF)
First Aid/CPR
OSHA Safety Training
Supervisory or Leadership Training
Experience Requirements:
Minimum:
5 years of direct experience in oil & gas production operations (e.g. well operations production equipment artificial lift systems etc.)
Managing daily field operations
Working with SCADA and production data systems
Overseeing contractors and service companies
Maintenance scheduling
Work Environment Experience:
Remote field locations
Harsh weather conditions
24/7 operations or on-call rotations
Safety-sensitive environments
