Middle School Math Tutor 2025-26

TheCanton PublicSchools is looking for a part-timemath tutor to work with Grade6 students in need ofmath intervention. The tutor schedule isflexible workingbetween 16-19.5 total hours per week through early June.

Preferred candidates will have familiarity with delivering targeted small group instruction basedon current assessment data. Tutors plan for small group instruction using district provided high quality evidence based materials. Tutors will be required to keep notes on student progress and will participate in writing brief progress reports for students on their caseload.

Tutors will work collaboratively with the Grade 6 teams theMath Dept Head Principals and theInstructional Coach.

• Deliver small group instruction

Additional Requirements:

• MA Elementary Certification preferred
• SEI Endorsement preferred
• Familiarity with RTI
• Experience using research based reading programs
• Familiarity with the Massachusetts Math Curriculum Frameworks
• Familiarity withscience of reading alignedpractices and the reading workshop model

Hourly rate: starting at $32.50
