Job Summary
The Role:
The Maritime Domain Applications (MDA) Group is seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer to develop advanced sensing concepts utilizing adaptive radar signal processing resource management and advanced radar algorithm development as well as executing advanced sensor concept demonstrations.
A successful candidate will have working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: advanced signal processing radar systems RF remote sensing or resource management; or a strong background in a foundational field for these areas (i.e. mathematics physics etc.). Additional desired skillsets would be the application of AI/ML principals into advanced signal processing algorithms. This position requires skills working as part of multi-disciplinary teams designing and analyzing signal processing algorithms for complex systems. Strong technical interpersonal communication and technical leadership skills are desired.
What you will do:
- Develop system concepts and signal processing algorithms for remote sensing
- Work as part of a small focused team to architect develop implement and test RF signal processing systems
- Modeling and Simulation of advanced RF systems new sensing paradigms and multi-function RF concepts
Who you are:
- This position requires an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
- BS with 7 years of experience MS with 5 years of experience or PhD in Electrical Engineering Mathematics Physics or related field
- Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python as well as other higher-level languages
- Strong Mathematical troubleshooting written and verbal communication skills
Even Better:
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering Mathematics Physics or a related field
- Experience with advanced RF system concepts multi-dimensional signal processing waveform design system optimization or multi-function phased array apertures
- Experience with algorithm optimization for real time systems especially radar or remote sensing
