St. Thomas More Hospital a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital is the cornerstone of health care services for Fremont County and surrounding southern Colorado communities. St. Thomas More offers 24 hour emergency and trauma services; inpatient acute care; intensive care; labor delivery and nursery care; multi-modal diagnostic imaging; inpatient and outpatient surgical services; rehabilitation services; cardiopulmonary rehab and diagnostics; sleep studies; an infusion center; wound care; and a community blood bank. Job Summary and Responsibilities

Join our team as aCertified Sterile Processing the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will:

  • Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
  • Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination processing sterilization and distribution of instruments equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
  • Maintain records in compliance with AAMI AORN Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification and monitors instructs and mentors non-certified.
  • Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR.
  • Facilitate the departments preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.

Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Computer skills required
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
