City of Newcastle (CN) is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Back of House Operations Coordinator to join our Civic Services team for a fixed term of 14 months commencing in November.
As our Back of House Operations Coordinator you will be responsible for leading a back of house (Commissionaires) team to ensure exceptional customer experiences venue presentation security and operational support is achieved across City Venues function spaces including City Hall Fort Scratchley and 12 Stewart Ave. Through your work youll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastles evolution as you shape our future as a liveable inclusive city.
This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient arrival and departure logistics professional venue presentation is maintained and safety standards (including accessibility requirements) are upheld. The coordinator contributes to event planning and readiness coordinates staffing security and training and supports continuous improvement while balancing high-level customer service with operational efficiency compliance and risk management.

Remuneration: $85470.45 17.5% annual leave loading yearly payment 12% Superannuation per annum for a 38-hour week
