To support the Front of House team in delivering a warm professional and seamless guest experience throughout the guest journey from arrival to departure. This role focuses on service excellence attention to detail and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of all guest-facing areas.
Guest Services
Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in and orientation.
Provide friendly professional and attentive service at all times.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
Handle basic guest queries and escalate issues as required.
Assist with guest departures and check-out procedures.
Dining & Service Support
Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas.
Support food and beverage service during meals.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest areas.
Assist with bar service where required (subject to legal requirements).
Housekeeping & Public Areas
Conduct regular checks of guest areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
Support housekeeping with room turnarounds when operationally required.
Report maintenance issues promptly.
Administration & Operations
Assist with basic FOH administration including guest movements activity schedules and daily handovers.
Maintain accurate guest information and preferences.
Adhere to all health safety and hygiene standards.
Support other departments during peak periods as required.
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience (advantageous but not essential).
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).
Willingness to work shifts weekends and public holidays.
Valid drivers licence (advantageous).
Required Skills:
Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience). Minimum 12 years experience in a hospitality or lodge environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office reservations or PMS systems advantageous). Professional presentable and guest-centric approach. Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
