Job Summary

To support the Front of House team in delivering a warm professional and seamless guest experience throughout the guest journey from arrival to departure. This role focuses on service excellence attention to detail and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of all guest-facing areas.

Guest Services

  • Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in and orientation.

  • Provide friendly professional and attentive service at all times.

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.

  • Handle basic guest queries and escalate issues as required.

  • Assist with guest departures and check-out procedures.

Dining & Service Support

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas.

  • Support food and beverage service during meals.

  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest areas.

  • Assist with bar service where required (subject to legal requirements).

Housekeeping & Public Areas

  • Conduct regular checks of guest areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness.

  • Support housekeeping with room turnarounds when operationally required.

  • Report maintenance issues promptly.

Administration & Operations

  • Assist with basic FOH administration including guest movements activity schedules and daily handovers.

  • Maintain accurate guest information and preferences.

  • Adhere to all health safety and hygiene standards.

  • Support other departments during peak periods as required.



Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric.

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience (advantageous but not essential).

  • Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).

  • Willingness to work shifts weekends and public holidays.

  • Valid drivers licence (advantageous).




  • Required Skills:

    Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience). Minimum 12 years experience in a hospitality or lodge environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office reservations or PMS systems advantageous). Professional presentable and guest-centric approach. Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
