Job Description

Job Description:

This person is responsible for risk management client account verifications collections and compliance in a factoring environment. Key functions include overseeing all aspects of billing verifying and collecting payments on factored invoices. A focus on process efficiencies is key to minimize outstanding debt and maximize cash flow.

Qualifications: This person should have a bachelors degree plus five years of work-related experience or the equivalent. This person should have a sound understanding of the factoring industry. A track record of proven leadership problem-solving and team-building skills is required. Excellent communication organization and decision-making skills along with the ability to make sound judgement calls is necessary.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team and develop an atmosphere of teamwork open communication and unity. Provide oversight of all services offered. Actively mentor staff and ensure they are trained evaluated and motivated to perform their responsibilities in an effective and progressive manner.

  • Manage and coordinate staff workflow of to ensure collection verification and billing efforts are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Present workout client exposure list on a weekly basis.

  • Work closely with Account Representatives and their leadership team regarding concerns with client invoices or aging issues and develop a plan to resolve the issues.

  • Implement efficient billing procedures and resolve billing inquiries and issues.

  • Set individual and team performance goals for staff and discuss progress of goals during monthly 1:1 sessions and/or quarterly reviews.

  • Provide guidance to clients and Account Representatives on delinquency solutions such as bond filings non-payment complaints and the use of an outside collection agency.

  • Assist with the response to more complex invoice inquiries according to established procedures.

  • Prepare standardized weekly/monthly and annual reports as directed by management.

  • Maintain revise and enforce department procedure as described in procedures manual.

  • Recommend program enhancements to the management to improve customer perception and retention and enhance collections effectiveness.

  • Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.

  • Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.

Salary Grade 5
