This Opportunity
This role is responsible for ensuring the strategic planning execution and delivery of fit-for purpose statistical analyses data management and scientific publications to ensure high-quality data generation & interpretation to maximize product value in alignment with medical strategy and regulatory requirements.
Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Lead and manage the biometrics and publication team fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategic objectives for biometrics and publication functions.
Mentor and develop team members providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth and performance.
Oversee and guide the team to provide scientific support to medical team
Oversee the allocation of resources prioritization of projects and management of timelines to meet strategic objectives.
Provide guidance on data management practices including data collection processing and storage.
Oversee the design and implementation of statistical analysis plans to support clinical trials and other evidence generation initiatives.
Oversee the development and implement publication strategies to disseminate research findings in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences and ensure all publications are accurate scientifically sound compliant with standards and guidelines
Drive continuous improvement of innovation in biometrics and publication processes by incorporating new technologies methodologies and best practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in biometrics and publication activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory changes and advancements in statistical methodologies and data technologies.
Provide functional management coaching and development of the direct reports identifies and implements areas of best practice and process improvements
Who You Are
Education/Qualifications
Masters or PhD in Statistics Biostatistics Data Science or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in biometrics data management or scientific publications within the pharmaceutical industry.
Leadership Competencies
Ability to influence team members under matrix structure
Ability to coach and lead the team through positive performance management
Job Required Competencies
Strong understanding of clinical trial design data analysis and publication processes.
Experience in authoring or co-authoring scientific publications.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry guidelines (e.g. ICH GCP CONSORT).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a strategic approach towards drug development/life-cycle management
Business acumen
Be able to handle technical discussion with fluent English
