This role requires candidate to be stationed on-site in SSAMC Chengdu. SSAMC is a JV shop between Air China and CFM International.
As a Lean /FLIGHT DECK Leader;
Duties and Responsibilities
Define and manage SSAMC Continuous Improvement Plan collaborate with managers to align with company goals monitor and report on its progress using KPIs to assess the impact of improvement initiatives
Implement Lean methodologies in the company to optimize workflows reduce waste and enhance overall efficiency
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to identify and execute improvement and Lean projects
Facilitate Lean workshops and problem-solving sessions
Develop and deliver training programs to build Lean capabilities and expertise among staff at all level
Guide and supervise MOC process (Management of Change) in SSAMC
Develop relationships with relevant departments in Air China GE and SAE and obtain the best cooperation and assistance in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement
Main activities
Proactively initiate improve and manage the SSAMC lean six sigma program
- Initiate design and scheduling of program
- Establishing and maintaining standards tools and organizations
- Provide training and guidance on continuous improvement tools
- Provide technical guidance during project selection and implementation process
- Promote the application of continuous improvement strategies throughout the organization
- Led cross functional project strategy
Manage SSAMC Continuous Improvement Plan
- Establishing and updating plans
- Follow up on continuous improvement projects
- Organizational management review
- Support and motivate managers to complete continuous improvement projects
Guide and supervise the MOC Management of Change) in SSAMC
- Guide the completion of change impact assessment for projects involving changes
- Supervise the completion of corresponding remedial or preventive measures for projects involving changes
- Review the completion of MOC processes for projects involving changes
Develop relationships with relevant departments in Air China GE and SAE and obtain the best cooperation and assistance in Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement
- Participate activities and communications related to Continuous Improvement among all parties involved;
- Visit or contact the involved parties to benchmark on Continuous Improvement
- Host or be focal to the involved parties visitors communications on Continuous Improvement.
Ability to correlate SSAMC Lean Operating Model and GE Aerospaces proprietary Lean Operating System FLIGHT DECK.
Reporting Structure:
This role is a GE Aerospace role reports directly to SSAMC Plant GM dotted line to GE Aerospace APAC Engine Overhaul FLIGHT DECK Leader.
Qualifications
Education background
Major in Aviation or Industrial Engineering Operations Management
Bachelors degree Masters degree is preferred
Training experience
Six Sigma Black Belt certified
Lean Training certified
Project Management Training certified
Work experience
At least 5 years experience in large multinational companies in the aerospace or manufacturing industry
At least 5 years experience in Lean/Continuous improvement roles preferably in the aeronautics industry
At least 2 years of experience in management positions
Skills
Proven ability to lead and influence diverse teams within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Excellent methodological analytical and project management skills
Strong ability to global environment and diverse work cultures
Proficient in listening speaking reading and writing English & Chinese
