Are you someone who enjoys keeping things organized helping others and making sure the details are just right As anOffice Assistant 2in Payroll Servicesyoull play a key rolein ensuring Washington State University employees are paid accurately and on time.
In this positionyoull be the go-to personfor a variety of clerical and administrative tasks that keep our payroll operations running smoothly.Youll manage records and databases assist visitors at the front counter and craft professional communications to support documentation requests and respond to inquiries.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Reviewing reports and forms for accuracy and compliance
Investigating and resolving errors to ensure payroll integrity
Using basic math skills to perform calculations and verify data
Helping revise internal forms and improve processes
Providing friendly and helpful service to walk-in customers and phone inquiries
Handling incoming mail filing documents and entering payroll data
Youll alsosupport and back up the payroll production team gaining valuable experience in payroll operations and contributing to a collaborative service-oriented environment.

This is a part time (60% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3262 to $4320 Range 36 Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent and one year of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
