Job Title: Human Resources Intern
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Pay Group: Contract/Hourly
Primary Purpose:Assist in the completion of special projects within the Human Resources department as well as perform administrative work in support of the daily operations of the department.
Education/Certification/Experience:
High school diploma from an accredited high school or hold GED.
Currently enrolled as a university studentstudying Human Resources related field or a recent graduate pursuing a career in the Human Resources field.
Experience with HRIS systems and Adobe Suite preferred; experience with the Microsoft Suiterequired.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skill to interpret and apply rules regulations policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide clerical support to the Human Resources department composing and typing letters and other documents related to HR activities.
HR documents including audits marketing information and handbooks.
manual and electronic employee files including archiving.

6. Track progress deadlines and priorities of all projects
7. Handle client requests and deliver quality solutions if able or escalate the request to a more senior team member
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Policy reports and Law:
9. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
10. Perform duties in aprofessional manner through daily punctual attendance at location of work assignment.
11. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
12. Execute duties in a professional ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247 Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
