What youll do:

  • Drive the strategic design and execution of robust scalable data architecture leveraging advanced ETL/ELT frameworks across distributed systems.
  • Spearhead integrations of complex data ecosystems ensuring high reliability and performance for real-time processing across leading cloud platforms.
  • Architect high-quality efficient data warehouse solutions using cutting-edge modelling techniques optimizing storage and retrieval of big data.
  • Lead automation initiatives overseeing integration of machine learning models into data workflows through efficient programming in Python and Spark.
  • Utilise industry knowledge and technical expertise to align data engineering practices with business objectives maximizing organisational impact and innovation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers fostering innovation and excellence.
  • Strategically align data initiatives with business goals and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with a track record of managing large-scale data engineering projects.

  • Experience: 5 years of experience delivering data pipelines in a business environment.
  • Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mindset.
  • Communication Skills:Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player:Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Technical skills:
    • Strong programming skills in Python.
    • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP Databricks or Snowflake).
    • Solid understanding of data engineering and pipelines (SQL ETL/ELT distributed systems) metadata driven data engineering and orchestration services.
    • Proficiency in big data technologies like Hadoop Spark and Kafka.
    • Ability to work with metadata driven data engineering pipelines and tools such as jinja and DBT.
