External Affairs and Communications Manager
We are now looking for an External Affairs and Communications Manager to join our Commercial Customer Excellence team. The position is focused on enabling win-win situations and a long-term sustainable business by driving meaningful external and internal engagement between Roche and stakeholders in the healthcare system with special emphasis on Roche Diagnostics portfolio of especially innovative tests systems and digital solutions that enable better decisions by clinicians and patients (learn more about our solutions here).
As an External Affairs and Communications Manager at Roche Diagnostics you have the ability to influence your own development and you get the opportunity to formulate strong external communications strategies for driving positive and impactful brand recognition healthcare system stakeholder perception and employer reputation for Roche.
The External Affairs and Communications Manager main purpose is to create better health outcomes by:
Enabling long-termsustainable business by driving external and internal engagements with Roche that lead to triple-win solutions for patients healthcare system and Roche.
Maintaining and developing the experience and reputation of Roche as a reliable trusted advisor among key stakeholders in the Swedish healthcare system.
Developing and executing impactful market access plans for prioritized Roche products and solutions with focus on high medical value solutions.
Enable strong collaboration and act as partner for collaboration between our local regional and global organisational levels and between Roche Pharma and Roche Diagnostics in Sweden to enable efficiencies andincreased impact in communications and external stakeholder engagements.
Provide leadership in company media relations crisis management and preparedness - connecting local and global reputation strategies.
Manage crisis/ PR/communication agencies and other subcontractors to deliver results and meet objectives.
Organise external meetings and Roche participation in external events and forums for dialogue with policymakers industry associations and healthcare administrations.
Organise internal communication trainings and manage internal communication activities including local town hall events and oversight of intranet postings.
Who You Are
Excellent communication and presentation skills expressing ideas fluently and eloquently communicating with impact and influence.
Excellent networking and stakeholder management capability internal and external.
Committed to and skilled in cross-functional collaboration and breaking down silos to achieve the best results for the organization.
Capable of identifying business opportunities beyond the product and generating insights.
System thinking abilities and ability to anticipate and adapt to volatile rapid changing market and societal conditions enabling a sustainable business both short and long term.

Qualifications and requirements
University degree in relevant fields preferable Masters Degree or higher
At least 5 years of experience in the Life Science industry
Proficient in Swedish and English.
Excellent understanding of the Swedish healthcare system and medical practice
Expertise in developing a compelling communication and company aspiration
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Experience in execution of communications strategies with an impact on reputation
Experience from issue and crisis management
In this role it is required to know adhere to and actively contribute to the development of current legal technical and organizational requirements for information security.
