Status: Part Time Hourly (Internship)
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Summary of the Position: Policy Manual Intern will assist the General Counsel (OGC) by providing day-to-day project support to the General Counsel and other department chiefs and directors. Policy Manual Intern (Legal Intern) needs to be detailed-oriented and motivated to support the Legal department in drafting reviewing and editing the companys policy and other manuals.
- Assist in reviewing and updating internal companys policy manual in collaboration with legal HR and Compliance.
- Draft and format policy documents using clear professional language aligned with legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure consistency and structure across all policy manuals
- Attend meetings and document key decisions related to policy development
- Provide administrative support for the finalization and rollout of the updated policies and manuals.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college
- Undergraduate pursuing degree in public policy legal studies or related
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Stronglegal writing and research skills with attention to clarity tone and structure.
- Familiarity withregulatory compliance employment law or nonprofit governance is a plus.
- Excellentorganizational skillsand attention to detail especially in document formatting and version control.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments including Legal HR IT and Operations.
- Strongcommunication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient inMicrosoft Word Excel and Outlook; experience with document management systems is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person meetings as needed
