The Purpose:

This role will be responsible for effectively guiding and delivering the business analysis effort on initiatives within AP managing mentoring and coaching a team of BAs. The role focuses on high level analysis strategic guidance and ensuring alignment with our organisational goals. It will bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions driving efficiency reducing risks and delivering value to the organisation its stakeholders and customers through improvements and solutions.

Finally facilitation communication and decision-making across stakeholders.

The core accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Conduct strategic business analysis activities including business case development impact analysis feasibility studies and defining project scope.
  • Lead analysis activities throughout the entire project lifecycle including defining and managing scope requirements elicitation analysis and documentation business process modelling data modelling and mapping and associated prioritisation activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit refine and manage requirements across their lifecycle to effectively meet business needs and contribute to organisational goals.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships ensuring their needs are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate analysis findings progress recommendations and other project centric material to stakeholders effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with project activities business analysis activities and proposed solutions.
  • Ensure all business analysis deliverables produced within the team are of a high quality and adhere to organisational and industry standards.
  • Mentor and guide a team of business analysts to foster their growth and professional development.
  • Actively engage with the broader Business Analysis community by providing thought leadership sharing analysis expertise and driving continuous improvement of the BA craft.

The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:

  • Bachelors degree and/or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis
  • Experience in Delivery practices and tools (Waterfall/Agile Jira)
  • Experience leading a small team of business analysts (< 7)
  • Experience as a thought leader in a BA Community of Practice
  • Experience working with structured BA Frameworks
  • Experience in the payments technology and the financial industry
