As a Lead Android Engineer at Bilue youll set the bar for technical excellence and craft within our mobile practice. Youll guide a team of engineers to deliver fast reliable and beautifully designed Android experiences that people genuinely love to use.
Youll partner closely with clients and product teams to shape technical direction define best practices and ensure our Android solutions dont just meet requirements they raise the standard for quality and performance. Your leadership will help bring clarity confidence and creativity to every phase of delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of robust high-performance Android applications
- Define the technical approach architecture and roadmap for Android projects
- Mentor and support engineers through code reviews pairing and career development
- Collaborate with clients to shape product vision into scalable technical solutions
- Ensure seamless integration with APIs cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
- Drive continuous improvement in performance reliability and code quality
- Champion modern Android frameworks tools and architectural patterns
- Actively contribute to Bilues mobile community sharing knowledge and driving innovation across teams
Qualifications :
Youre a seasoned Android Engineer with 8 years experience delivering exceptional mobile products at scale. Youre not just hands-on youre a technical leader who sets the standard for quality performance and craft across every Android project you touch.
You have a deep understanding of modern Android architecture clean code practices and design systems and you know how to guide others to apply them well. You thrive in a collaborative agile environment balancing hands-on development with mentoring technical decision-making and client engagement.
You lead with empathy communicate with clarity and bring a calm confidence that helps your team deliver work thats as robust as it is delightful to use.
- Proven experience leading Android delivery across large-scale production apps
- Deep expertise in Kotlin with strong architectural skills (MVVM MVI Clean Architecture)
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose Coroutines Flow Hilt/Dagger Room WorkManager and Navigation Component
- Strong understanding of app performance concurrency and offline resilience
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs GraphQL and cloud services (Firebase AWS Azure GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions Bitrise Fastlane) and release management (Play Console)
- Commitment to code quality through reviews testing (unit UI snapshot) and automation
- An agile mindset able to guide teams through estimation sprint planning and continuous improvement
- Experience coaching engineers and uplifting team capability
- Active engagement with the Android community (open source conferences meetups)
- A passion for craft leadership and building apps that people genuinely love to use
