Job Description

About the Role

As the Management Accountant you will contribute to timely accurate and reliable weekly reporting from the finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager working in a great team you will undertake analysis of weekly results and be a key contact with our business units across all states.

You will also develop a strong understanding of the freight and warehouse operations ranging from Linehaul and Pick up and Delivery fleet and warehousing expenses and income streams.

Our Operations management will also seek your guidance on their financial results GL Codes CAPEX and OPEX approvals and all other matters relating to financials.

Your Duties Include

  • Reporting timely accurate and reliable weekly results for business units
  • Producing analysis of business unit performance against financial plans
  • Preparation of monthly quarterly and annual reporting requirements
  • Maintaining business partnership relationships across a range of roles in the business
  • Assisting branches and the finance team with ad hoc analysis
  • Becoming a key contact within the finance team
  • Identify recommend and support the implementation of system enhancements

The successful applicant will have:

  • CA or CPA accreditation essential
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly excel)
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and professional work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail
