About the Role
As a Support Worker youll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and young individuals by providing tailored person-centred support. Whether its daily living assistance emotional guidance or community engagement your work will help create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
Youll work across a 24/7 rotating roster including sleepovers active nights weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
- Assist with personal care mobility and skill development
- Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
- Support community participation and recreational activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
- Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
- Create safe trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs
What Youll Need Disability Home & Living
- Experience in disability aged care or family/community services
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Valid Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication empathy and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
What youll need Childrens Services
- Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
- Empathetic compassionate and resilient
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Certificate IV in Disability or Child Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain) clickhereto view more details
- Current First Aid CPR Drivers licence & NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
- Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts
What youll need Community Complex Care
- 3 years experience supporting participants with complex care needs.
- Passionate about human rights and driving positive change.
- Empathetic compassionate and understanding of diverse experiences.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on listening and responding to customer needs.
- Team player enthusiastic about collaboration and sharing best practices.
- Willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements.
