Job Title: Vice President of Finance
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on financial leader to oversee all aspects of our organizations finances. As VP of Finance you will manage budgeting reporting accounting risk management and long-term financial planning to ensure strong fiscal health and compliance. This role is both strategic and operational ideal for someone who thrives in a small nonprofit environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee day-to-day accounting (AP/AR payroll reconciliations reporting)
- Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP IRS audit and grant requirements
- Track restricted/unrestricted funds and support grant reporting
- Present financial updates to leadership Board and Finance Committee
- Maintain internal controls and risk management policies
- Supervise finance staff/contractors and foster cross-department collaboration
About You
- Proven experience in financial management (nonprofit experience preferred)
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Comfortable balancing leadership with hands-on execution
- Collaborative detail-oriented and mission-driven
