Job Description:

As the Leadership Legacy Giving Manager youll build meaningful relationships with donors who are passionate about making a lasting impact. Youll lead donor engagement from start to finishidentifying cultivating and stewarding generous supporterswhile maximizing philanthropic gifts to advance The Salvation Armys mission. This is a rewarding opportunity to connect peoples desire to give with causes that truly change lives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Research qualify and manage a pipeline of prospects and donors fostering strong relationships that drive philanthropic support.

  • Lead discovery meetings prepare reports and create customized proposals to engage and solicit donors.

  • Manage relationships in collaboration with territorial and divisional teams to ensure alignment and strategy.

  • Develop and execute strategies for meaningful donor engagement dedicating 60% of time to in-person contacts.

  • Oversee the legacy donor cycle meeting annual targets for both revocable and irrevocable planned gifts.

  • Collaborate with program leads to design and implement strategic fundraising frameworks aligning with best practices and trends.

  • Prepare and present fundraising materials including proposals cases for support briefing notes solicitation plans and stewardship resources.

  • Support senior leadership involvement in fundraising by providing briefing materials and strategic guidance.

  • Record and track all donor interactions in Raisers Edge NXT while staying up to date on fundraising trends legislation and tax implications for major and planned gifts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Marketing Business Administration or FundraisingCFRE or working toward CFRE designation preferred.

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive fundraising experience in major gifts corporate fundraising securing donations and sponsorships at the leadership level with gifts of $100000 and greater.

  • Proven project management experience including planning budgeting monitoring and analysis.

  • Strong ability to plan lead and deliver projects to achieve expected outcomes.

  • Highly collaborative with a track record of building effective partnerships across the organization.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing reports and presentations.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint); graphic design skills considered an asset.

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills to handle diverse demands effectively.

  • Committed to supporting and promoting The Salvation Armys mission vision and values.

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this position is $65776.57 to $82220.71 with a maximum of $98664.86.

Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions internal equity and candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role.
