Main purpose of the role:
The candidate must have strong expertise in ISDA Master Agreements and equity/commodity derivative confirmations. This indicates a focus on derivatives trading and related legal documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage ISDA Master Agreement negotiations and related documentation.
Draft review and negotiate equity and commodity derivative confirmations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders including trading operations and compliance teams to ensure smooth execution and documentation of derivative transactions.
Provide legal guidance on derivatives-related matters and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
Support ongoing legal operations and contribute to process improvements where applicable.
Person specification:
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in derivatives legal work is required.
Strong expertise in ISDA documentation and equity/commodity derivative confirmations.
Prior experience in a financial institution or law firm with a focus on derivatives.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks to provide legal guidance on derivatives-related matters.
