- Previous experience dealing with a wide range of customers face to face or over the phone in busy service industries
- Excellent spoken and written command of the English language with a cheerful confident professional and courteous tone
- Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to effectively contribute as a team member as part of a busy team.
- Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced time sensitive environment.
- Good understanding of DHL Network
- Sound knowledge of the country Customs Code and Practices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Excellent Communication

YOUR TASKS:
- Ensure all custom pre-alerts are declared to customs on time.
- Shipments cleared which requires regulatory approvals should be handed over to the respective supervisors for getting it endorsed by the inspection.
- Follow Gateway clearance procedures as outlined in the GSOP manual and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper record keeping is done and reports & files are updated timely and appropriately.
- Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway.
- Ensure the accurate and on time preparation of import and export Customs declarations.
- Ensure that customer databases are maintained.
- Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures.
