The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. With its more than 1400 professionals SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong contributions toward life-cycle management user interface & user experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products and has recently welcomed new teams focusing on business applications. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Globalization has the mission to empower every customer to succeed locally and globally. By localizing SAPs products to run compliant with local regulations SAP Globalization is indeed a true differentiator for our key products like SAP S/4HANA SAP Ariba SAP Concur etc.
SAP Globalization is working on developing AI agents and tools to streamline the localization of SAP software for different countries. The focus is on leveraging AI in activities such as coding research automation and software design with the goal of accelerating the delivery of solutions tailored to meet local requirements.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for a passionate AI Cloud Developer for our new team in Sofia to work on exciting global AI development this role you will:
- Play a crucial role in pioneering the integration of modern AI capabilities actively shaping the infusion of Generative AI features right from the beginning. This is a rare opportunity to make a significant impact and be part of a groundbreaking journey
- Have opportunity to work with multiple frontrunner teams in AI environment
- Follow emerging trends and technologies particularly in AI and use this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of the entire development process designing and developing robust back-end functionalities and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP products.
- Opportunity to dive deeply into the latest technologies like Kubernetes (Kyma Environment) Docker Azure DevOps pipelines Python and etc.
- Build upon domain knowledge and technical skills to reach levels of expertise.
- Work as a fully contributing team member with independent planning & execution responsibilities.
- Ability to technically lead a topic independently and take individual ownership of the technical component end-to-end.
YOUR PROFILE
If you are self-driven and flexible you are a perfect fit for our team. Further role requirements are:
- Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent subject
- Experience using Python or similar languages as a backend systems developer
- Experience with developing software that runs in the Cloud knowledge of SAP BTP is an advantage
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker
- Basic knowledge in prompt engineering techniques such as retrieval augmented generation or few-shot prompting
- Understanding of agent frameworks such as ReAct
- Experience with MCP or similar technologies (a plus)
- Knowledge of algorithms data structures and database usage
- Familiarity with common tools for agile project planning and tracking source code control and continuous integration (e.g. JIRA Git Jenkins)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team
- Interest in learning and exploring new topics
- Goal-oriented team player with good communication skills.
