Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Developer / Cloud Engineer
Location: McLean VA Hybrid (3days a week)
Duration: 12 months
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Developer/Cloud Engineer with hands-on expertise in building cloud-native and serverless applications using AWS services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Python and Scala and a background in large-scale data engineering leveraging Snowflake and Databricks. This role involves designing developing and optimizing backend APIs data workflows and long-range query solutions to support scalable business applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda Step Functions and DynamoDB.
Implement and optimize serverless architectures for scalability performance and cost-effectiveness.
Build and maintain data engineering pipelines leveraging Snowflake and Databricks.
Develop and integrate backend APIs to enable seamless data exchange across systems.
Handle large-scale data workflows and ensure efficient execution of long-running queries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers architects product owners) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Ensure solutions follow best practices in cloud security reliability and performance optimization.
Troubleshoot monitor and maintain existing cloud services and workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python and Scala.
Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda Step Functions DynamoDB and other AWS services.
Expertise in Snowflake and Databricks for large-scale data engineering tasks.
Solid understanding of serverless and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with API development and integration.
Knowledge of data workflow orchestration and handling long-range queries.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
