About The Job
As a Controlling Manager you will report to the Finance Manager/Managing Director and will manage a dynamic and skilled team of 5 Controllers and 1 Accountant. Your core responsibilities are securing high quality financial reporting forecasting and compliance processes. With an engaging and motivating leadership style you will secure the wellbeing of the team where planning of activities goes hand in hand with business needs. Your strong understanding of financial reporting IT ecosystems and compliance will allow you to organize both daily operations and be part of long-term transformation initiatives. You are used to working with both internal and external requirements to a modern finance function that is a part of a global finance setup. Building and maintaining relations with stakeholders is a natural part of your nature. Your main responsibilities will include:
Responsible for and part of financial reporting and forecasting
Point of contact for internal and external auditors planning of audits and being part of tasks related to audits together with the controllers
Overseeing that local compliance and internal controls are in place. Drive regular risk assessments and activities to mitigate risks
Various tasks in close collaboration with Managing Director/Finance Manager
Driving efficient collaboration with Alfa Laval Finance Shared Service Center in Krakow
Taking part in local activities and transformation projects within IT tools (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Medius Solver BI tools). Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and tools.
Engaging in local tax-related tasks transfer pricing documentation VAT and insurance tasks
At Alfa Laval we embrace a hybrid work model providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is based at our Sborg office in Copenhagen with an expected travel commitment of approximately 5 - 10 days per year.
What You Know
You have experience from an international organization and a proven track record in leading finance functions. Combining strong leadership with a solid financial background you bring a structured and analytical mindset. Your hands-on expertise in financial reporting forecasting and compliance enables you to navigate complex business environments and drive continuous improvement through effective systems and processes. To succeed in this role you bring:
A degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or similar.
Solid knowledge of financial reporting forecasting and internal control frameworks.
Understanding of business processes in a global company and know how to structure local compliance based on global standards
Strong IT mindset and are confident working with digital financial tools and systems.
Fluency in Danish and English both spoken and written.
