POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Clerk manages the supplies and products coming in and out of a business keep accurate counts of stored items in warehouses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures that materials are stored in the proper locations.
Inspects the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages expired/damaged material (pulled from production).
Ensures product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers through daily quarterly and monthly inventories.
Records daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory with old/excess packed and moved to storage.
Uses software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
Places orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus.
Compares information on requisitions invoices and shipping notices to material received or issued to verify accuracy of order.
Analyzes data to anticipate future needs.
Reports to upper management on stock levels issues etc.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High School or Equivalent
Preferred Degree: Associates in business related field
Certificate(s) or License(s): NA
Experience: Preferred experience in industrial or inventory control setting
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Working knowledge of inventory management software.
Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
An analytical mind with strong math skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Knowledge in working with Microsoft Office and Databases.

Occasional computer work
Regular sitting standing walking
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
