About the Role
As the Independent Facilitator you will bring an impartial and expert perspective to Councils CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee. You will guide the Committee through key stages of the CEOs employment lifecycle including recruitment reappointment performance monitoring remuneration and contract management ensuring processes are transparent consistent and aligned with legislative requirements and best practice.
Working alongside the Mayor and Councillors you will provide independent advice foster constructive discussion and support the Committee in achieving fair and accountable outcomes.
About the Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will bring:
Strong leadership communication and governance expertise.
Experience at an executive level ideally within local government or a similar sector.
Proven capability in executive recruitment contract oversight and performance reviews.
The ability to provide independent high-quality advice and guidance.
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with Councillors and the CEO.
Suitable candidates may include:
Former Council members.
Current or former local government CEOs.
Senior executives with governance and recruitment expertise.
Respected community leaders with relevant experience.
