About the Role An exciting new and unique opportunity for Automation Technical Advisor to join our Automation team based at Head Office and reporting to the Automation Solutions Manager. This newly created role is primarily responsible for being the first point of contact for the branch network and existing TMHA Automation customers requiring post-project technical support. The role will work closely with the rest of Automation team to maintain support service levels diagnosing machine faults and provide support to automation engineers during the implementation phases. Responsibilities will include: - Responsible for the management of the support ticketing system/Automation shared inbox. This includes seeking further information actioning emails escalating all support emails or phone calls received for the automation department in a timely and effective manner.
- Be the first point of call and responsible for managing and responding to enquiries through the 1800 (National) number.
- Provide support in the realisation (on site) and conclusion phase of implementations to the automation engineers and project manager. This includes but not limited to vehicle set up within the realisation phase and ramp up support during the conclusion phase.
- Diagnosing faults during the post project phase supporting customers with any machine faults and seeking appropriate information from the customer to diagnose faults.
- Attending customer sites during realisation/conclusion and support phase of projects to support automation engineers in effective completion and handover to support organisation
- Be the point of contact with the LS (TMHE) Professional Services team and ensure enquiries are handled in line with TMHA policies and procedures.
- Liaising with internal (National Parts and Branches) and external partners (TICO Group Companies) to support troubleshooting of automation solutions.
- Responsible for the delivery of executed post project Support agreements to new and existing customer base.
Skills and experience: - Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic Heavy Vehicle Plant Diesel Mechanic etc)
- Current Drivers licence
- 5 years experience in the maintenance of material handling equipment
- Exposure and perform servicing/repairs on AGV equipment is desirable but not necessary
- Willingness to obtain further qualification of Certificate III in Engineering Technical is desirable but not necessary.
- Willingness to travel when required to support projects or equipment across the nation
- Previous experience with direct customer contact.
- Diagnose faults and ability to communicate them effectively with internal external partners and customer base.
- Be self-motivated and possess the ability to work with minimal supervision and to be honest and ethical in all dealings with employees customers and suppliers.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills ability to effectively ulitise MS Office suite
- Ability to understand and learn new systems software and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Diagnose faults and ability to communicate them effectively with internal external partners and customer base.
- Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
